There was a time when I hated NYC. A rural midwestern kid who grew up outside a town of 500 people just inherently didn’t relate to the madness of the touristy NYC. However, once my friends lived in NYC, the real NYC, I came to love it. My untested stereotype of LA was similar. LA has its completely unpleasant parts. However, guided by the right people, it is a great city. I’ll write more about all of them later, but many thanks to those people who’ve given LA a good name so far: Dan, Tracy, John, Jocelyn, Mike, Sascha & crew. And the places: Trails, Intelligencia, Cole’s French Dip, MOCA Geffen, Griffith Park.
